Research outline and main results
The purpose of the project is to provide innovation policy makers and innovation professionals with a deep understanding of the drivers and barriers shaping innovative activity in different industrial sectors. It will undertake cross-industry comparisons of innovation performance, based on sound statistical sources. Particular attention should be paid to data from the Community Innovation Survey 4 (and 5 if available at the time of reporting). The project coordinated by TNO (Netherland) is composed of three tasks: 1. Collection and analysis of statistical information to measure sectoral innovation performance. 2. Foresight of sectoral innovation challenges and opportunities. 3. Analysis of market and regulatory/policy factors influencing sectoral innovation patterns.
